Thank you for your interest in and support of the Michael Miyauchi Foundation. In keeping with the foundationís goal of helping people help others, opportunities for assistance can mean financial support as well as giving of your time and heart. Your contributions to the Michael Miyauchi Foundation will give much needed support and hope to our community.  Together, through the giving of our time and financial resources, we can make a difference in the lives of others.

An Update on Foundation Activities 

The Michael Miyauchi Foundation has been actively promoting and encouraging people to help others, while offering financial support to the Foundationís benefactors.  Here is an update on Foundation activities: 

  • Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
    As the co-beneficiary of the 2016 M&M Golf Classic proceeds, the foundation raised $15,523.11 for TARGET Pediatric AML Initiative. In addition, $10,000 was granted to the Help The Hutch campaign for pediatric cancer research.

  • Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research
    As the co-beneficiary of the 2016 M&M Golf Classic proceeds, the foundation raised $15,523.11 for this cancer research organization.

  • Dr. Henry Kaplan Research Fund
    In 2016, the Michael Miyauchi Foundation continued to support Dr. Henry Kaplanís vital cancer research and education at The Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle.

  • Michael Miyauchi Memorial Fund
    This foundation-supported youth fund at Lighthouse Christian Church annually provides scholarships for students to attend the JEMS Mt. Hermon Summer Conference. 

  • Michael Miyauchi Endowed Fund
    Established and continues to enhance an endowment fund at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center that annually targets research of leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers.

The Michael Miyauchi Foundation (the "Fund") is a component of Seattle Foundation, a Section 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID #91-6013536). Seattle Foundation has exclusive legal control over all funds received. Accordingly, contributions to the Fund are treated for tax purposes as gifts to a Section 501(c)(3) public charity and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
