Thank you for your interest in and support of the Michael Miyauchi Foundation. In keeping with the foundationís goal of helping people help others, opportunities for assistance can mean financial support as well as giving of your time and heart. Your contributions to the Michael Miyauchi Foundation will give much needed support and hope to our community.  Together, through the giving of our time and financial resources, we can make a difference in the lives of others.

An Update on Foundation Activities 

The Michael Miyauchi Foundation has been actively promoting and encouraging people to help others, while offering financial support to the Foundationís benefactors.  Here is an update on Foundation activities: 

  • Uganda Cancer Institute / Fred Hutchinson Cancer Project
    As the beneficiary of the 2013 M&M Golf Classic proceeds, the foundation was able to grant $15,000 to the Uganda Cancer Institute/Fred Hutchinson cancer project.

  • Michael Miyauchi Memorial Fund
    This foundation-supported youth fund at Lighthouse Christian Church recently provided scholarships for 3 students to attend 2012 JEMS Mt. Hermon Conference, 3 students to attend 2012 JEMS Warm Beach Conference, and is covering registration fees of students attending Urbana 2012. 

  • Dr. Henry Kaplan Research Fund
    In 2013, the Michael Miyauchi Foundation continued to support Dr. Henry Kaplanís vital cancer research and education at The Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle, and plans to continue that support in 2014.

  • Eastside Academy
    In 2013, we provided a  grant to the Eastside Academy.

  • Michael Miyauchi Endowed Fund
    Established an endowment fund at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center that annually targets research of leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers.

The Michael Miyauchi Foundation (the "Fund") is a component of The Seattle Foundation, a Section 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID #91-6013536). The Seattle Foundation has exclusive legal control over all funds received. Accordingly, contributions to the Fund are treated for tax purposes as gifts to a Section 501(c)(3) public charity and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
